I've been reflecting a lot on life lately and ironically the theme for this month's post is
Reflection.
Here are some thoughts that have running around in my mind:
- To sell our house or keep our house
- Change my job to something entirely different
- To continue photography professionally or scale back to a hobby as it once started as.
- Feeling like our family isn't complete but not sure we will ever be able to financially support a family of 5.
- Trying to find a way to not be so tired every. single. night.
- Feeling like we are trying to cram a whole bucket list things into the three months of summer...so hard to choose what to do and wanting our kids experience everything.
- Want to buy a boat, spend the weekend on the sand bars, like we did.
- Knowing we are failing horrible at our new year's resolution---Spend more time as a couple, go on dates again. We have been 1 in 6 months.
- Wishing clutter and the house being dirty didn't bother me so much.
- Terribly wanting to redecorate our house...new paint, curtains, rugs, pillows, throws, art work... it all.
- Hopefully it pays off one day, but really wanting $45,000 in school debt to gone. Tired of pay check to pay check.
- Actually get overwhelmed when I go shopping...I obviously don't get out enough. #Need more me time.
- Knowing the almost 11 month old puppy is good for family, but is going to probably going to continue to drive me nuts until she's done with this puppy thing. #Not ever getting a puppy again
- Wanting to work very part-time, but knowing financially that will not do.
- Working hard at getting my bikini body back (after baby #2), but damn this taking a lot longer than I thought.
- Can't remember the last movie I went to in the theater.
- Would love to make a life change and move somewhere new, but I still need my mom too much.
- Wishing our families were closer.
Sometimes you do need to just take the time and reflect on your life, it helps you put your priorities in place.
Last night my oldest came with me to capture the reflection of the sun setting over the lake. We came a few minutes early so we wouldn't miss it. Just as I was about to start clicking he announced to me, "Momma I have to go potty." Really?!? (couldn't you have told me this 5 minutes ago). "Can you wait?" I asked. His reply, "No, I gotta go now." Mind you we have no bathrooms anywhere near and the sun...is within minutes of picture taking. We made a mad dash for the weeds in the Indian tribal garden. We made it back just in time.
