Ready...Aim... PUKE!
This onsie says it all! Over the past 3 days I have never been puked on so much in my entire life. I think I am going through more outfits a day than Harrison. After puke number two today, we decided on a sleeper for Harrison and sweats for mom. Who do we have to impress anyways besides daddy?
As Harrison's doctor told us, pukes are only going to get worse with increased volume at feedings... and puking peaks at 3 months.
Everyday is laundry day!
So are you ready to hear something funny? Harrison pee pee'd on his own head today. I couldn't help but burst out laughing and his look was a utter surprise. Okay... here is what happened... It all started with a huge poopy and I couldn't correctly cover the shooter while cleaning up ths massive poopy and before I knew it it was a sprinkler system going off. Poor Harrison, never a dry moment around here.
Enjoy the photos...they should be getting better as we are getting used to the new camera.
Andy don't mind the weird posting with the letters down the sides of the pictures. Obiously what I was trying didn't work out! :)

This morning I was watching the news and they were talking about the upcoming March Of Dimes Walk in April for premature babies. I didn't hesitate and quickly googled March of Dimes. I researched our area and found a walk on April 18, 2010 at Lake Park, Winona at 2 PM.
I started a team, Baby Harrison. I invite anyone to join the team in support for other babies like Harrison. I have a small personal goal of raising $100 and a team goal of $500. Hopefully we blow each of these goals a way!

Mommy says, "Harrison, stay a baby forever!"
Personality:
Mr. Harrison is full of smiles! :) His smiles have become more expressive and more frequent. He is developing quite the personality as well. He knows what he wants, when he wants it especially when it comes to cuddling (he loves to be held) and feeding ("Mommy and daddy, I want food, and I want it now, I won't wait!").
Outing:
We decided to take Harrison to church for the first time on Sunday... The serviced started off great and spiraled downward! Harrison was content in his car seat until he felt a burp coming on. I scooped him up and then BBBUUURRPP....BBBUUURRRPPP (and of coarse it happened during quiet part of the service---so EVERYONE heard! We had some squeaks and groans during the remainder of the service, but nothing that compared to the family full of kids behind us...I think there was a circus going on in that pew! A small toy turtle ended up in my purse.
Looks:
Taking a good look at Harrison, he definitely is sprouting some new hairs! The receding hair line is becoming less evident. The nurse he had at last weeks doctors appointment had to rub up against his head and said, "Oh peach fuzz, I just love it!" Not only is filling in on the top of his head, his eye lashes are about a mile long which is a huge change since birth.
Poopies:
Yes---Poopies. I think I could create a blog to just talk about poop. I have to blog about last nights POOP. Daddy is little less experience and poopy clean up (I credit myself to 5 years of nursing home experience). So...it started with daddy upstairs cleaning up poop when he called for mommy's help. I gathered a new diaper and more wipes and as daddy was cleaning up the goop...more pooped arrived and this time is was all over the white onsie (it's always has to be white). The two of us worked together to maneuver the onsie off without spreading the evidence anywhere else. It was then into the bath tub. MUCH BETTER!
Wondering what happened to that white onsie? Garbage!...some things are just not worth trying to get clean! Trust me...this was one of those!
What's next?:
A video. We are working on putting together a new video of Harrison. In the mean time there will be lots more pictures as if you didn't already expect that.

It's been a busy weekend that is for sure! The best part of the weekend... besides Harrison was purchasing a brand new camera. It was a blast taking pictures today. Grandma Di was in charge of the little man. Doug and I took our ever so jealous Whitney Dog on a much needed outing. As a result? LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES! (They are posted on Facebook). We felt like kids again...making snow angels, jumping off snow mounds, rolling down snow banks (in which I acquired a battle wound on my chin after hitting an ice chunk on the way down (not to worry--it wasn't serious at all).
I promise to post more pictures of Mr. Harrison soon...

It's been 12 weeks since Harrison's birth. We can not believe how time flies...one minute you are in the NICU and the next, you are at home as a family.
Since finishing the pregnancy scrapbook...I have finally got a strong go on Harrison's scrapbook. I love scrap booking and anyone who knows me, probably doesn't need to be told that. I had a lot of good ideas and couldn't wait to get started, but now that I have started, I have found it quite challenging. Creating the pages isn't the challenge, but looking back over the pictures is the real challenge. Before we brought Harrison home, I could flip through his photo albums over and over, but now that he is home I find it an emotional struggle to look back on those days. He has been home now for four weeks, but with one turn of the album pages--it's an emotional rewind back to the early days. No words will ever be able to describe how difficult this experience was in our lives.
For weeks and weeks when people asked how things were going, we always told them good. People don't want to hear that things weren't going well. We couldn't describe how we were feeling and looking back, we probably didn't know how we were feeling being flooded by emotions. There were times I was so angry that I couldn't just pick up and hold our son...and other times we were saddened to watch other couples take their babies home, feeling like our day would never come!
We have had the last four weeks to reflect on what had happened...where we were and where we wanted to be. Looking back over these last few days... I kept thinking... How did we do it? How did we make it through all of this? One word, LOVE.

A BLOG FACE LIFT!
The blog got a re-vamp today. FINALLY! I was affraid to make changes to the blog earlier in fear that I would lose the last nine months of postings... Everything is still here! WHEW!

What weighs about 10 pounds?
1. A dumbbell
2. A Bag of Flour
3. Our Cat Sammy
4. A medium size bowling ball
5. Our Son
Today we had our 2 month check-up (2 months, 3 weeks). Harrison weighed in at 9 lbs 11 ounces. He is just inching himself towards being a 10 pound baby! Harrison is not only packing on the pounds, but length wise he is sprouting up. He measured 20 1/4 inches long. The doctor pulled up the growth chart to compare where Harrison is and should be by looking at him as a 2 month old baby verses a one week old baby. He still isn't on the growth chart according to other two month old babies. However, with the leaps and bounds he has been making he is well on his way. To us--we don't see him as small, but when you put him next to a baby just two weeks younger than he is, the size is quite notable.
While waiting for the doctor appointment today another mom came to the waiting room with her baby boy who is eight weeks old. She asked me how many days old Harrison was...when I said 11 weeks---with the look she gave me, I had to explain. Her baby wasn't by any means huge, being born at just over 6 pounds...
Until I have something to compare him to, he is our "Big Guy."
Harrison maybe small for his age...but developmentally he is advanced. Yes, advanced is what I said and the doctor agreed. Harrison is meeting all the developmental milestones of a 2 month old baby---not a one week old baby. The doctor couldn't stop saying how happy he is with the development...and as a parents, we couldn't be happier hearing such positive statements.
Also at the appointment today Harrison was given his second does of the RSV vaccine and had his last blood draw for electrolytes. The saddest thing of all is that he cried his first real tears during today's pokes. Before now--there was a whole lot of dry crying. So, from now on it's just vaccinations at appointments...which means less poking and less tears.
Our next appointment isn't for a full month!
With all of today's excitement, we puked all over our self at the appointment and pooped up our back when we got home. (That reminds me, I need to switch the laundry).
Stayed tuned for pictures...Harrison's personalized blanket finally came in. After our afternoon nap we might be photogenic.

I had to show off some of the Valentines purchases mommy made and just some plain cute pictures that were taken today.
I thought I would also update you about my progress as a baby. I am holding my head up so well---I make mommy and daddy so proud...and the latest thing I have been trying to do is roll over--yes, roll over (it surprised me too) and when I sleep I like to scoot all over the place (while being swaddled)--which impresses my parents.
I go to the doctor next on Wednesday. Stay tuned for a weight update. In the mean time enjoy the photos of me...

Harrison's Gift...
That's right! LOTS AND LOTS OF POOP! That is what mommy and daddy got for Valentines Day! We swore, just when you think he couldn't poop again--he did!
Mr. Harrison Meets Mr. Henry!
We decide to celebrate Valentines Day a little different this year... We took our first family trip to Mall of America and met with some friends of ours (Jenna and Ryan) who happen to have a young man of their own. His name is Henry (so cute), just four months older than our Harrison. We have been anxious for the two of them to meet.
The day was a blast...the mommys took off shopping, taking our bundles of joy in tow and the daddy's headed up to a Mexican restaurant and ordered some beers and margaritas. The mommys found some HOT jeans :) and some steal of deals on clothes for our boys. Later we met up with the daddys and had lunch. After that we power walked the mall (swerving in and out of people, dodging strollers left and right). It was an extremely busy day at the mall...We think everyone else with babies in the metro area had the same idea we had!
During our adventure at the mall, Harrison got to meet Uncle Matt in person and his friend Manuel. And as crazy as the mall was we happen to run into Doug's Aunt Jean and her husband.
Harrison would like to thank his Grandparents for the Froggy Valentines!

We have been getting a lot of questions asking how our Whitney Dog is doing with the transition to being a Big Sister...
This photo should help describe that. Whitney is still jealous, but adapting well. She keeps her distance when Harrison is having tummy time...but frequently sniffs his head throughout the day.
I think Whitney is happy the most to have her parents back at home and having some normalcy back in her life.

Okay---I know that you don't exactly like to see feet plastered in front of your eyes (especially if you have a large screen)...but I had to prove a point that Harrison does in fact have daddy's toes---they are identical!

Are you beginning to think that all we do is take pictures around here? Well, you are probably right. Eat, sleep, poop, pictures!
This is how we celebrated Harrison's due date. He was actually a wake during these photos, but between the two of us we didn't capture many with his great big eyes open. Despite that, I think we took some nice pictures.
After pictures---we went out to lunch and then we were sad that daddy had to go to work...
