Sun. Sand. Water. Giggles.

We have been getting out on the river just as much as we can this summer. So much of me grew up on the river and I have so many great memories of it. I am so glad our boys get the opportunity to build similar memories.

These shots are back from our first boat ride in June. We have been out several other times since, but sometimes you just have to put down the camera and enjoy the sun, sand, water and giggles and hope that you can instill this memory better than a picture would. :)

 

No more training wheels!!!

Didn't I just post that we couldn't convince Harrison to try riding his bike without training wheels? Well...after a conversation of yet more ramp building I explained to him that he couldn't do half of the things he wants to do with his training wheels on. So as an incentive to try I told him tat Doug would build him a ramp is he learned to ride without training wheels. Never, ever did I think within 5 minutes of trying that this would happen.

I was pretty convinced we would be in the "training wheels FOREVER club." I got teared up watching this happen---so, so proud of him.

No more training wheels 7-9-15!

Happy 10 Year Wedding Anniversary

This post in a little belated as we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on June 18. For our 10th wedding anniversary I always told Doug I wanted to put on my wedding dress and re-do our wedding photos. Our wedding photographer wasn't horrible, but wasn't great either and I think we were so young and really didn't care at the time what we wanted in our photos. Well, 10 years later, the dress zipped and we did this. I wasn't sure about including the kids.... since well cooperation and does not go in the same sentence with a 5 and 2 year old. Anyways---My friend/photographer Tara totally, TOTALLY rocked this, her work is insanely beautiful and I am so glad she capture these images for us. I now have a photo of us that I want to hang up on the wall. Well.... more like 150 photos I want to hang on our walls.
