Goodbye Curls.

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

It happen... First hair cut. Technically this was his first professional cut. He had a couple of mom hair cuts done in the bath tub over the last year.

Our two boys are continuing to prove being opposite in every way.

They say you should expect the unexpected right? Still... I glanced at my camera on the way out the door that morning and thought, ahh no... I can live without bunch of screaming photos to remember this experience. And plus if I don't bring my camera with he will probably rock it then.

He rocked it.

He not only rocked it, he rocked and rolled. Not a single tear, not a single scream. He sat nicely in the chair all by himself for a dum, dum with a few utters of "all done."

So here is an istagram post to give a peek at his awesomeness.

Scissors & Glue

Saturday, September 1, 2012

Harrison loves scissors and often asks me to cut things or help me cut things. I have been a little (or a lot) hesitate about it...but a few weeks back at daycare I read on the board that they practiced cutting that day.

As Harrison as I spent the last couple of days together, one thing did do is go get him his very first pair of blunt scissors and bottle of glue. If you could have seen this kid's face, I think he had a permanent smile on his face. Out of blue, red, and green scissors, he chose red. That seems to be a color of his choice of lately (guess it's closet to the pink, which has been a preference also).

Poor kid had to wait the entire day to use his scissors and glue as we finally constructed his "tree" while dinner was cooking (tree idea came from Pinterest).

My hope for myself is that I take the time to capture Miles firsts like I do for Harrison. Posts like this are my favorite.

Gobs of glue, gobs of smiles.

 Refrigerator worthy.
