It was a Mickey themed birthday party, What else for this adorable little boy that is at least half mouse?
This year we decided to rent the party room of our local God Father's Pizza. We reserved the room months ago, knowing Miles was due date just 5 days before his party. It was a good thing considering we had our first open house that day after his party. There was no mess for us to clean up. The party room was perfect sized for our crowd of about 30. We ordered Pizza and ate at Harrison's requested pink cake and pink ice cream.
I was a little sad when I plugged in the memory card to find I only took a handful of photos during his party. I had wanted to capture the details of the party...like the Mickey Mouse shaped confetti his Auntie Potter created. Doug captured a shot after we just hung the banner and of Harrison's birthday keep sake. I neglected to get any close ups of the Mickey Mouse Bean Bag Toss that Doug made or the hand made bean bags again, his Auntie made. Sometimes (or a lot of the time) I feel like I need to clone myself.
Anyways---I super glad my friend Jenna was there to hand the camera off to, so we got some adorable cake shot photos.
He was so excited about the pinata...he helped me stuff it the night before. We wish it would have lasted longer, but it broke free from the top after just 6 hits. I think we might have filled it too full, but it was fun while it lasted.
I don't know when I'll get to his official 3 year old photo session...but these two images are pretty darn cute if I say so myself.
